Weekly Recap

This week was a bit uneven in terms of content, the weekdays were pretty light with not much going on, but over the weekend I got a lot done. All 30 of my shinies were from the December Community, so they were all repeats, but still a nice big haul.

My two hundos were from earlier in the week, with Sprigatito being a dupe, but the Nacli being a nice debut pickup.

I actually picked up a new Nundo during comday as well, that being Jangmo-o. Haven't seen one in a good while so that was a nice surprise.

In other general catching updates, we got the whole Nacli line registered in the dex, as well as bumped into a few Galarian Birds. Both ran but it was cool to get two off the same incense. I used to count my GBird encounters but since I stopped posting to Instagram I lost count. Maybe I'll try to pick it back up soon.

This was also the first week of having the weekly challenge. It was kinda cool, I wish the stats tracked after the challenge ended though.

Over comday I managed to level up to 73 as well. I'm taking it slow with leveling up but I think I want to hit 80 by next Go Fest in case they start dropping new levels then. I don't need anymore XP or platinum medals, so I'm really just grinding the tasks. Thankfully there aren't really any time gates on them I think. The big task for this level is definitely walking 200km. I usually walk around 60-70 km a week, so it'll probably take me around three weeks to get to 74. Oh yeah, also got my gold community member medal too. Suprised im not working on this one sooner.

We finally got a stack of Special Research to work on. First up is that awful Keldeo Masterwork. I absolutely hate the timegate. It's so unmotivating and boring and I already talked in depth about it in a previous blog post. The Masterball Masterwork isn't so bad. It is not timegated, but still medium difficulty. About what I'd expect for just another Masterball. And lastly the seasonal research is also time gated as usual. I think this timegate is even more annoying since there is no Mythical or Legendary Pokemon reward associated with it 😭. So what's the point of delaying the rewards of like ultraballs and golden razz berries and stuff.

Hit a bunch of nice lucky trades this week too, but none of them came out 4*. I did find out one of my previous lucky trades got silver capped into a Shundo, so that's technically my first Pokemon that's been traded to become a Shundo which is nice.

Been raiding pretty hard, both Shadow Heatran and Kyurem and pretty solid and worth my deluxe passes. Super happy to have picked up a purifiable 4* Heatran too, going to be very awesome when the mega comes out eventually. Kyurem being a guaranteed catch+guaranteed Glaciate has also really motivated me to raid for it more. Kyurem is usually one of the harder bosses to catch, so having that guarantee is awesome. I'm pretty sure Zekrom and Reshiram will have that hidden bonus this month as well, so I'll probably be going to the raid hour for all three of those.

Lastly, I finally caught up on my Living Max Dex thanks to the evo requirements from comday.

Overall, a chill week with a lot going down on the weekend. Looking forward to continuing raid grinding the rest of this month, and for the spotlight hours too. BKVAZ out!
